Philosophy of our Expeditions
Our expeditions are designed to provide our guests
with the best and most varied cultural information about the Atacama
Desert. In order to do that we hire professional guides with an
academic background in archaeology, ecology, and anthropology of
the Atacama Highlands.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Our guests will receive the best possible information
on the archaeological and anthropological heritage of the Atacama
Desert via exclusive presentations in the Hotel Tulor. Guide services
and presentations are headed up by the archaeologist Ana María
Barón, an expert on the Atacama, who directs and constantly
trains our guide team.
Our Expeditions may be tailored to the interests
of our guests, as long as this is requested in advance.
Our Fees Include
A program presented by bilingual guides who are
experts on the Atacama Desert. The vehicles used are either normal
or 4 wheel drive, and are equipped according to the needs of the
expedition, up to 12 passengers. If an expedition will be out in
the desert for most of the day, a box lunch will be included, as
well as non-alcoholic beverages and mineral water.
Check In/ Check Out of Hotel Tulor
Check in at Hotel Tulor is from 3 p.m., with early
check in may be possible depending on room availability. Check out
is at 1p.m, however if a flight reservation or transportation schedule
requires a later departure, our guests may continue to enjoy our
facilities up to the last possible minute of their stay in San Pedro,
leaving their belongings in our baggage area at no additional cost.
Children under 5 years of age incur no additional cost as long as
they share the same room as their parents.
Reservations
Our reservation policy is the following:
1- All reservations must be made in writing.
2- A reservation is considered confirmed once payment has been received.
Cancellations
Individual reservations: up to three passengers
or guests.
Group reservations: 4 passengers or more.
In order to cancel individual reservations the following
charges apply:
1- 45 days prior to arrival, 10% of the total cost of the reservation
will be charged.
2- Between 44 and 30 days prior to arrival, 25% of the total cost
of the reservation will be charged.
3- Between 29 and 0 days prior to arrival, 35% of the total cost
of the reservation will be charged.
In order to cancel group reservations the following
charges apply:
1- 45 days prior to arrival, 20% of the total cost
of the reservation will be charged.
2- Between 44 and 30 days prior to arrival, 30% of the total cost
of the reservation will be charged.
3- Between 29 and 0 days prior to arrival, 45% of the total cost
of the reservation will be charged.
Tulor Chile reserves the right to change or eliminate parts of a
program without prior notice due to climatic conditions, guest illness,
flight delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
